Trivia

Trivia games have two elements:

• Quiz: A quiz is a series of questions that participants try to answer. Currently, each question contains the following:
  • The text of the question (e.g. “Which river is the longest?”
  • Four answers to choose from, only one of which is correct.
• Game: A game is an event scheduled for a specific time and place, where participants will try to answer the questions in a quiz. In order to schedule a game, you need to assign a quiz to that game. Note that any number of games can use the same quiz.

Quizzes

Creating a quiz

1. Choose Trivia > Quizzes > Create.
2. Choose a name for the quiz (typically, it should be about the quiz’s subject matter), and enter that name into the Name field.
3. You can click the Create button to create the quiz right now (which will create a quiz without any questions), or you can proceed to the step below, Adding questions to a quiz.

Adding questions to a quiz

1. Click the Add New Question button.
2. Select the type of question from the Question Type menu. Currently, only one type of question is available: Multiple Choice.
3. When you select a Multiple Choice question, the following fields will appear. Fill them out as indicated:
   • A text field marked Question, and below that,
   • Four text fields:
     • One marked Correct Answer.
     • Three marked Wrong Answer.
4. To add another question to the quiz, click the Add New Question button.
5. When you are done adding questions to the quiz, click the Create button at the bottom of the screen.

Editing questions in a quiz

1. Select the quiz from the list of quizzes (Trivia > Quizzes > Manage).
2. Use the menu of questions in the quiz (located above the Add New Question button) to select the question that you want to edit.
3. The text fields for the question will appear, which will allow you to edit the question.
4. Click the Update button at the bottom of the screen to confirm your changes.

Deleting questions from a quiz

1. Select the quiz from the list of quizzes (Trivia > Quizzes > Manage).
2. Use the menu of questions in the quiz (located above the Add New Question button) to select the question that you want to delete.
3. The text fields for the question will appear. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the screen to delete the question. You will be asked to confirm the deletion.

Games

Creating a game

1. Choose Trivia > Games > Create.
2. Select the quiz that will be used for the game from the Quiz menu.
3. Specify the date and time when the game will begin in the Start At field.
4. Specify the date and time when the game will end in the End At field.
5. Click the Create button to create the game.

Editing a game

1. Select the game from the list of games (Trivia > Games > Manage).
2. Make the changes to the game using the fields that appear.
3. Click the Update button at the bottom of the screen to confirm your changes.

Deleting a game

1. Select the game from the list of games (Trivia > Games > Manage).
2. The text fields for the details about the game will appear. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the screen to delete the game. You will be asked to confirm the deletion.
