Syncing Entertainment Assets

Syncing Music

Music is automatically synced to all deployments.

Syncing Movies

There are two ways to sync movies. If you haven't uploaded the asset yet, you can sync it during the creation. (See Creating Movies > Creating Entertainment Assets.)

If the movie is already created, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose Entertainment > Movies > Index.
  2. Find the movie asset from the list and click on .
  3. Click on the Edit tab.
  4. Scroll to Selected Deployments.
  5. Check the box next to the deployment(s) you wish to sync to.
  6. Click the Update button.

Syncing Live TV

There are two ways to sync Live TV. If you haven't uploaded the asset yet, you can sync it during the creation. (See Creating Live TV > Creating Entertainment Assets.)

If the live TV is already created, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose Entertainment > TV > Live TV > Index.
  2. Find the live TV asset from the list and click on
  3. Click on the Edit tab.
  4. Scroll to Selected Deployments.
  5. Check the box next to the deployment(s) you wish to sync to.
  6. Click the Update button.

Syncing TV Shows

There are two ways to sync TV shows. If you haven't uploaded the asset yet, you can sync it during the creation. (See Creating TV Shows > Creating Entertainment Assets.)

  1. Choose Entertainment > TV > Shows > Index.
  2. Find the TV show asset from the list and click on
  3. Click on the Edit tab.
  4. Scroll to Selected Deployments.
  5. Check the box next to the deployment(s) you wish to sync to.
  6. Click the Update button.

Creating Entertainment Assets

Creating Genres

  1. Choose Entertainment > Genres > Create.
  2. Enter the genre under Name*.
  3. Check Publish for the genre to be visible on guests' TVs.
  4. Check Featured if this is relevant to the genre.
  5. Choose whether it applies to movies, music, and/or TV shows by checking the relevant boxes.
  6. Type the description of the genre into the Description box.
  7. Upload any relevant media using the Media Asset feature.
  8. Click the Create button.

Creating Movies

To create multiple movies at once, see Create Entertainment Assets > Importing.

To create movies individually, follow the steps below.

  1. Choose Entertainment > Movies > Create.
  2. Select the movie's language from the dropdown menu.
  3. Enter the movie's title under Name*.
  4. Select the movie's genre from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the link to the movie under Link.
  6. Add the movie's length, year of release, rating, directors, and actors.
  7. Check Publish for the movie to be visible to guests. (Note: Both the movie and the genre have to be published for it to be visible to guests.)
  8. Check Featured if this is relevant to the movie.
  9. Type the description of the movie into the Description box.
  10. Upload the movie cover using the Media Asset feature.
  11. Choose any deployment you wish to sync the movie to.
  12. Click the Create button.

Creating TV Shows

To create multiple TV shows at once, see Create Entertainment Assets > Importing.

To create TV shows individually, follow the steps below.

  1. Choose Entertainment > TV > Shows > Create.
  2. Select the show's language from the dropdown menu.
  3. Enter the show's title under Name*.
  4. Select the show's genre and rating from the dropdown menus.
  5. Check Publish for the show to be visible to guests. (Note: Both the show and the genre have to be published for it to be visible to guests.)
  6. Check Featured if this is relevant to the TV show.
  7. Type the description of the movie into the Description box.
  8. Upload the TV show's cover using the Media Asset feature.
  9. Choose any deployment you wish to sync the TV show to.
  10. Click the Create button.

Creating TV Show Seasons

  1. Choose Entertainment > TV > Shows > Index.
  2. Find the TV show asset from the list and click on
  3. Scroll down to the + New Season button and click it.
  4. Enter the name, number, year, and description of the season.
  5. If a media asset for the season is available, use the Media Asset section to select a media asset to associate with the season.
  6. Click Create to create the season.

Creating TV Show Episodes

  1. Choose Entertainment > TV > Shows > Index.
  2. Find the TV show asset from the list and click on
  3. Scroll down to the where the seasons are listed and click the + New Episode button for the season where you wish to create the episode.
  4. Enter the name, number, link, length, year, directors, actors, and description for the season.
  5. If a media asset for the episode is available, use the Media Asset section to select a media asset to associate with the season.
  6. Click Create to create the episode.

Creating Music

To create multiple albums and songs at once, see Create Entertainment Assets > Importing.

To create music assets individually, follow the steps below.

Creating the album:

  1. Choose Entertainment > Music > Albums > Create.
  2. Enter the album's title under Name*.
  3. Select the album's genre from the dropdown menu.
  4. Check Publish for the album to be visible to guests.
  5. Upload the album's cover using the Media Asset feature.
  6. Click the Create button.

Adding music:

  1. Choose Entertainment > Music > Music > Create.
  2. Enter the track's title under Name*.
  3. [Optional] Select the track's genre from the dropdown menu.
  4. Enter the track's length and artists.
  5. Check Publish for the track to be visible to guests. (Note: Both the track and the genre have to be published for it to be visible to guests.)
  6. Check Featured if this is relevant to the music.
  7. Select the track's album from the dropdown menu. (Note: Album needs to already have been created.)
  8. Type the description of the track into the Description box.
  9. Upload any relevant media using the Media Asset feature.
  10. Choose any deployment you wish to sync the music to.
  11. Click the Create button.

Creating Live TV

To create multiple live TV assets at once, see Create Entertainment Assets > Importing.

To create live TV assets individually, follow the steps below.

  1. Choose Entertainment > TV > Live TV > Create.
  2. Enter the show's title under Name*.
  3. Enter the link to the live TV under Link.
  4. Select the genre from the dropdown menus.
  5. Check Publish for the live TV to be visible to guests. (Note: Both the live TV asset and the genre have to be published for it to be visible to guests.)
  6. Check Crew Only if the asset is exclusively for the crew.
  7. Type the description of the live TV into the Description box.
  8. Upload the live TV's cover/image using the Media Asset feature.
  9. Choose any deployment you wish to sync the live TV to.
  10. Click the Create button.

Importing

To create multiple entertainment assets at once, use the Import feature.

  1. Select Music, Movies, TV, or Live TV.
  2. Download the CVS file template by clicking Download a sample file.
  3. Upload the completed CSV file and a zip file containing the assets.
  4. Click Import.
